My name is Mark Cherry, and I’m driven to make a difference. I was born and raised in Science Hill, Kentucky, and grew up on a small cattle farm. Where I’m from, Vanderbilt is rightly regarded as the only top 20 school that matters, since it’s the only one in the SEC. Maybe if the Ivy League was 1,000 miles to the south, they’d be worth thinking about, too. Now, I’m a Junior in the College of Arts and Sciences, majoring in Political Science and Cell Biology. I have loved getting involved in many different student organizations, but have found my real passion in VSG. I would love to have the chance to represent the student body as Executive Vice President, and use my senior year to make Vanderbilt an even better place than ever before.
